Trip to Yorkshire Sculpture Park
byWhy not join us on a trip to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park on Sunday 10th May? The YSP is close to M1 near Wakefield, just over an hour away from Manchester. It is situated in the grounds of a beautiful 500 acre 18th century estate with over 40 outdoor sculptures. There is also a great restaurant with superb views whose walls are adorned with framed prints of the park. Entrance is free with car parking at £4 per day.
The trip should act both as an outdoor practical and a social event with plenty of photo opportunities, a good walk and an excellent restaurant and visitor centre to enjoy.
Whilst some people may prefer to make their own way, it does seem sensible to car share wherever possible and so I’m suggesting that we meet at the club on the Sunday morning, ready for a 9:00am departure, arriving at YSP around 10:00am before the park starts to get busy.
I received a good response when I announced the event a few weeks ago but I would like to get a clearer idea of who is likely to come now the event is getting closer and whether you would like to meet at the club and car share. “I’ll probably be coming” will be fine at this stage if you’re not 100% sure you’ll be able to make it. Either leave a comment here or drop me an email to confirm.

I am disappointed that I can’t make it. Mind you, I’ll be in Prague, which might compensate a little.
