SMCC Visits Chatsworth House
On Thursday 8th September, a group of six members of the Club visited Chatsworth House to see and photograph 'Radical Horizons: The Art of Burning Man', a trip organised by Marie-Claude.
This is an art event consisting of twelve monumental sculptures dotted around the grounds of Chatsworth. The concept originates in the USA, being focused on community, art, self-expression and self-reliance.
A walk round the sculptures took a few hours, and there were good photographic opportunities, including the house and the bridge over the River Derwent. Below are are some of the images the group took of the various sculptures..
To start and finish the day, they made a couple of visits for refreshment to the excellent Chatsworth Café and a great day was had by all of them!
Here's a photo of the group on the day.
