Central Library August 2026 - Field of View (Further Afield - Images from the UK)

From July to September 2026, we're delighted to be exhibiting a body of work from members of the Club.

The overall theme for the exhibition is entitled "Field of View".

Field of View offers a different way of seeing things. It encourages us to look more carefully and to recognise that every image is unique. 

Each photograph represents a point of view – a decision about where to look and what to include. Whether capturing movement, stillness, detail or scale, the images invite us to consider how perspective, light, colour and mood shape what we notice and what we might otherwise miss.

The chosen images represent a range of styles and subjects - portraits, landscapes, macro and abstracts to mention just a few. Each month, the theme stays the same but the location will be different, as detailed below:-

•    July - Close to Home - Images from Greater Manchester
•    August - Further Afield - Images from the United Kingdom
•    September - Far and Wide - Images from anywhere in the world

We would love you to see the exhibition - please drop in at any time. It's on the first floor of the main Central Library Building in St Peters Square, Manchester.

We hope you enjoy seeing the images and we will be inviting the public to purchase the prints (at prices selected by the authors) with part of the proceeds from any sales going to the Club; the rest will go to the authors of the prints.
